Video Training: "AI Boundaries for Designers: Navigating Client AI Use During Design Projects"

$27.00

AI tools have brought a whole host of new challenges to design projects, from clients sending over AI-generated logos for you to “fix,” to using AI to communicate with you and send design feedback.

These things lead to frustration, confusion, unhappy clients, and an unhappy you! You feel angry at your clients, and like your clients are devaluing the deep, strategic work that they hired you to do.

But I promise you, it doesn’t have to be like this.

Your design projects and design business aren’t doomed.

In this 1-hour recorded training, you’ll learn common situations where clients use AI in ways that hinder their projects, and what you can do to stop these things from happening, maintain positive relationships with your clients, and get them the strategic designs they’re looking for.

(And it involves more than just adding clauses to your contract!)

You’ll learn how to address these 4 difficult client AI-use situations:

  • AI-generated questionnaire answers

  • AI-generated design feedback

  • AI-generated logos or designs for use in projects

  • Clients editing your design proofs using AI

You’ll learn how to approach these challenges proactively with both firm boundaries and kindness towards your clients.

This training includes:

  • Immediate access to the 50-minute video training (recorded live on June 12, 2026)

  • Written wording templates for all of the scripts covered in the training

  • A recommended resource for AI-related contract clauses for designers

  • Written transcript of the video recording

This training will help you proactively get ahead of AI-related project challenges so you can approach them with both understanding and confidence, and work smoothly with your clients.

Meet your AI Boundaries training instructor:

I’m Alyssa, a brand & web designer with a passion for helping designers like you ditch the “fake it till you make it” mindset and feel confident in your business.

when I first started my design business, I had no idea what I was doing.

I was constantly running into project hiccups, projects dragging out for months, and clients pushing my boundaries. As a people pleaser, I didn’t know how to actually enforce my boundaries without making my clients upset. But at the same time, something had to give, because my mental health and work-life balance were at stake.

Over years of tweaking my process and communications, I made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot of lessons. I finally arrived at a process and policies that nearly eliminated all major client challenges, and made it much easier for me to successfully navigate difficult situations when they arose.

Now, I’m sharing all of this with you so that you don’t have to make the same mistakes, and you can work smoothly and maintain positive relationships with your clients. There is a world where both you and your clients are happy with the collaboration, every one of your projects is portfolio-worthy, and your clients want to shout your name from the rooftop!
