Quality graphic design that uplifts and amplifies your nonprofit’s mission.
You know your work is deeply impactful. When your graphic design pieces match the profound effect you make, your organization is better positioned to:
Move donors to support you
Build trust and legitimacy for your organization
Obtain grants and attract funders
Engage volunteers
Educate and raise awareness around your mission
Deliver resources to your community
Design done right, guided by a seasoned expert
When we work together, you get a designer who has a formal background in branding, web design, and graphic and print design, including art direction at a high-end print agency in NYC that specializes in nonprofit gala invites. (I’ve even designed custom dielines.)
I can advise on every design decision from where we place your logo to the paper weight you print to accessibility best practices for your website.
That means you can rest assured that:
I know what questions we need to ask your printer about your annual report.
Your website will be built according to ADA guidelines for accessibility.
I can advise on the best way to optimize your website pages for clarity, easy understanding of what you do, and how best to encourage people to take action.
When you hand me your brand guidelines, I can easily create fresh, new designs that still remain true to your established branding.
Your brand will look visually consistent across every touch point, building trust and recognition for your organization.
I work with nonprofits and organizations across a range of sectors including healthcare, education, youth services, arts, human rights, and community and business support.

“The beautiful graphics have helped us share about our work, educate our community and make a case for our work and the support of our donors and funders.
Our whole experience of working with Alyssa has been positive and fruitful! From our first meeting, we felt listened to and like we were working together on something meaningful.
Beyond our initial brand work, more than 5 years ago, we have enjoyed working with Alyssa on a range of print and digital projects as our organization and work has evolved. We love that Alyssa continues to understand us and has helped us grow as our needs have changed. All of the final products she creates are beautiful and functional and we love seeing them in our materials, website and out in the world.
All of our projects have been wonderful and we have always been satisfied with our final products, as well as the process and overall experience. The beautiful graphics and images have helped us share about our work, educate our community and make a case for our work and the support of our donors, funders, etc.
The process is easy, efficient, fast and always feels iterative in a productive way. We adore you!”

“You ask incredible questions. I appreciate how clear you are on timelines and your responsiveness within the timelines you promise.
Dogwood Health Trust needed a fresh take on designs for our annual report. I felt like we needed something new and different. I appreciated the calls you hold to understand the SOW before we go to contract. You ask incredible questions. I also appreciate how clear you are on timelines and your responsiveness within the timelines you promise.
We are so grateful to you for all we’ve created together. We’ve received positive feedback on the designs and the updates we’ve made to our palette.”

“What exceeded my expectations was the level of interaction, conversations, and the real goal of getting to the heart of our programs.
Everything was great and your professionalism by keeping us on track was remarkable. I loved the flexibility and collaborative nature of the entire experience. I was pleasantly surprised that my ideas and opinions were taken seriously, even though design is far from my training. I also really appreciate that you were firm when needed and guided us in areas that we were not familiar with. You are sensitive, smart, artistic, and a great collaborator.
What exceeded my expectations was the level of interaction, conversations, and the real goal of getting to the heart of our programs and reflect it in the website. Your professionalism and sensitive collaboration made me realize how important having a designer was. We are hoping this will change how we present ourselves and make us look more professional, therefore attracting more students.”

“Clear and timely communication. Clean designs, love the creative! We would work with her time and time again.
The designer we typically work with for exhibition wall design was unavailable to support the project due to a very quick turnaround. We were struggling not only to design our wall text, but also the installation design in general.
Everything [exceeded our expectations]. Alyssa was wonderful to work with. She communicated well, had a clear work plan, and provided a quick turnaround on the design. Alyssa is a great collaborator, and I recommended that we work with Amp'd Designs again for future projects.”

Why work with Alyssa?
When we collaborate, you get high-level strategy and attention to detail.
My background includes ample brand, print, and web design work, high-end and speciality print and prepress setup, work as an art director in New York City, over a decade of professional experience as a graphic designer, and 9+ years running Amp’d Designs full-time.
This experience means I’m able to easily understand and work within established visual brand guidelines, creating new designs that are both fresh and cohesive with your existing identity.
When we work together, you get design that is thoughtful, polished, and production-ready.

Reach out about Dedicated Design Days for your project:
Start by submitting the form below to help determine if your project is a good fit for a Dedicated Design Day, and I’ll respond within 1-2 business days to talk about our next steps!
-
One Dedicated Design Day is $2,000.00. Your full payment is due to book your day(s).
-
During our initial conversation, I’ll determine how many days we’ll need to complete your project. With 8+ years of running my independent design business and tracking my time on all projects, I’m very good at estimating how long things will take!
Following your day(s), you’ll also receive 2 hours of additional design support, which can be used any time during the following 2 weeks in case additional edits are needed.
In cases where we have much more work to do, or changes or additions to our initial scope, we can either continue at my hourly rate over the following weeks, or you may book an additional Dedicated Design Day.
-
Rest assured that I am not in the business of nickel-and-diming anyone, so if your project can fit into one day, one day is what we will book.
That said, you will get the best results and highest quality when I am not rushing, skipping lunch, or asking you to turn around unreasonably fast approvals on your end. Larger projects (like annual reports, multi-page documents, and comprehensive event collateral) will most likely require more than one day.
-
It’s best to book your Dedicated Design Day(s) 1-3 months in advance of when you need your project completed. While these days make extremely efficient use of our time together, they are generally not available immediately, as my calendar tends to book up weeks advance.
-
Yes! Sometimes it’s easier to hop on a call and talk through feedback, and we can coordinate calls throughout the day as needed.
Kindly note that while Zoom may be used for discussing feedback, I’m not able to work on designs live while you watch or instruct. My process works best when I can take time to review notes, explore design directions, and make intentional decisions, then present finished designs to you once they’re ready.
-
Yes, I can! I do commonly work on comprehensive projects like these at flat fees, which are quoted ahead of time. This can also be a great option, it just depends on your goals.
With a flat fee quote, you receive:
A price for a specific scope of work, including exact deliverables and project specs
A specific number of revision rounds
An estimated timeline, typically spanning several weeks
More time for back and forth with your team, and between us
Changes to the quoted scope of work may incur additional fees, and additional rounds of revisions may be made at my hourly rate
With Dedicated Design Days, you receive:
A wider scope of work, within reason; if specifics change, as long as we can still get everything done within your reserved day(s), there is no extra cost
No revision limit; we can make as many rounds of revisions as needed during your day(s)
Quicker turnaround; instead of stretching your project across several weeks, we’re completing everything during your reserved day(s)
All in all, both can be great options depending on how you’d like to work. Happy to talk through which option is the best fit for you!

I don’t use AI tools to create designs during our work together. When you work with me, you’re working with a human being. I use my brain, hands, and graphic design skills.
On your end, while it can be tempting to speed up your project even more by using AI to provide feedback on design proofs, using AI this way can actually make our project more difficult. AI-provided feedback tends to be confusing and not aligned with our goals and strategy, and AI seeks to find issues even when there are none. For this reason, please note that AI-provided feedback is not permitted during the design process.
For more information about how AI is and isn’t used during the design process, please see my full AI policy here.
