Designers — join Christy Price and me for a candid chat about working with web design clients.
We’re sharing the systems we rely on, the boundaries that keep projects on track, and a few battle stories that taught us what to change. If you build Squarespace sites or run a small studio, this one is for you.
What we’ll cover:
- Preventing messy projects
- Onboarding must haves: timelines, deliverables, and decision makers
- Avoiding scope creep with clear policies and change requests
- Offboarding that protects your work and your sanity
- Red flags we listen to and how we respond
- Live Q&A
Meet your hosts:
Alyssa Downey is the founder of Make Your Design Matter ®, providing mentorship and resources to help ambitious self-employed designers ditch the “fake it till you make it” mindset and feel confident working with clients.
She is also the owner of Amp’d Designs ®, creating brands and websites for businesses that are rooted in strategy, core values, and goals, and look beautiful too. Outside of design, she loves music, cooking, baking things with chocolate in them, and experimenting in the garden.
Christy Price has been working in web design for over 20 years and transitioned her business to focus solely on Squarespace in 2018. She builds websites, creates templates for DIYers, and also enjoys sharing what she’s learning with new and aspiring designers. You can check out her services, templates and courses at christyprice.com. Christy lives in a house on a hill outside Austin, Texas, with her husband and two Labrador retrievers (one naughty, one nice).
